“ Hungry on a Mother's Day evening, we came to Jose's after much debate. We were surprised and satisfied! Parking was crowded and the restaurant was very busy; however, we were seated promptly. I understood right away why this was the place to be: the food is very reasonable in price, delicious and the service is excellent. Our waiter arrived with a basket of tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa: this is how every Mexican restaurant experience should begin. The chips were warm and the salsa tasty (he brought us another round after we quickly devoured the first). I ordered Enchiladas Rancheros. They were good but it was perhaps a bit too salty. The rest of my family were happy with their meals: Enchiladas Supremas, some Lunch Order #8? and a kid's Chicken Tender and fries. My youngest is a notoriously poor eater, so I challenged her to finish her meal for a reward: she finished it happily. Her reward was some Fried Ice Cream, which we all enjoyed. Our attentive waiter gave my wife a free slice of cheesecake for Mother's Day. It was a nice gesture and unexpected. Will we come to Jose's again when we are back in Sault Ste. Marie? Absolutely. ”

“ Around my fourth time dining here and the atmosphere is always lively and the restaurant is always packed with people. Most of all, the food is always amazing. You get a shareable size complimentary chips and salsa for your table to eat while waiting for your food. I absolutely love it here. ”

“ As soon as we walked in they had staff waiting for us right away and about a minute after we were seated we were handed a bowl of chips and salsa, the chips and salsa are amazing here, usually i am not a fan of salsa but this one was amazing with those chips too. I ordered a deluxe burrito with chicken and it was so good, the beans were amazing, the rice was amazing, and the burrito was top notch, i highly recommend this place if you are passing through or live here to go here for lunch or dinner. service was nice and staff was kind, food came fast and even though there restaurant was pretty much full theres like different sections so the noise is not too bad. ”

“ WOW!!!! This place is simply Wow. The minute you step into the restaurant, the aromas of yummy food greet you. The staff are very welcoming, warm and polite. Service is fast and food tastes so good. They offer complementary chips and salsa, and the soda drink is refillable. Portions are really more than enough for one person. I highly recommend this place. ”
“ Eat here! Amazing food, desserts were my favorite. Prices were good, friendly staff, great relaxing atmosphere. As the saying goes, Yankees can't cook! Luckily the food and recipes come out of the South. An amazing beacon of light and flavor in the sea of blandness, which is Michigan food... lol I've traveled all through the south especially Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California, and this is actually the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in the USA. They just need elotes/street corn & horchata. The tres leche cake and churros were amazing though. ”
